Liverpool has appointed Richard Hughes from Bournemouth as their new sporting director.

Hughes' primary task on Merseyside will be to find a replacement for Jürgen Klopp as the head coach. However, the club also aims to strengthen its squad during the transfer window.

According to LiverpoolWorld, Hughes might bring along three players from Bournemouth. The publication mentions the names of two of them: Ukrainian international defender Ilya Zabarnyi and his teammate, Lloyd Kelly.

Zabarnyi, aged 21, has featured in 33 matches across all competitions this season, scoring one goal. His contract with the club runs until June 2028.

Kelly, a 25-year-old Englishman, has played 16 games and scored one goal. His contract with Bournemouth expires in the summer.

Bournemouth currently sits 13th in the Premier League table this season, while Liverpool holds the second position, level on points with Arsenal.

Earlier, reported that Liverpool has no plans to sell their striker to PSG.
